Accommodation will be provided on prior request on first come first basis in the University Guest House /Hotel as per the request on payment basis.

The conference will be organized in Department of Chemistry, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, University Campus, Meerut.

Transport

Meerut is one of the historical cities of Uttar Pradesh (India) and is situated at a distance of 75 km North-East of Delhi (Capital of India). Trains arriving from South and West Bengal sides terminate at New Delhi/ Nizamuddin/ Old Delhi Railway Station. It is advised that from Delhi based railway station, the participants should come to ISBT, Kashmiri Gate, Delhi, from where frequent bus service is available for Meerut. It takes about 2:30 hours to reach Meerut. Participants coming from Varanasi side should get down at Hapur Junction. Also frequent bus service is available from Hapur to Meerut. From Lucknow & Kanpur direct trains are available for Meerut. The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. From Airport, taxis are available for Meerut. Lot of rickshaws is available from Meerut Bus Stand to CCS University Campus. City Bus Service No.1 is also available from Meerut Railway station to campus.

Weather

During the last week of January, weather is pleasant and nights are cold (Temperature Range 7-20ºC); Woolen clothes are advised.

Currency

Indian Rupee is the National Currency of India. Currencies can be exchanged at the International Airport, Delhi and all 5-Star Hotels.

Time

India has only one time zone which covers the entire country. Indian Standard Time (IST) is 5 hours and 30 minutes ahead of GMT.

Tours

You can enjoy pre & post Conference tours in and around Meerut as well as other nearby places of tourist interest. Delhi, the Capital of India, is 75 km from Meerut. Delhi has many tourist attractions to offer like India Gate, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Akshardham Temple and several museums. Hilly areas like Nainital & Mussorie are also not very far away from Meerut. Some other important places of interests around Meerut are Jim Corbett National Park, Holy city of Haridwar, Roman Catholic Church in Sardhana, Taj Mahal in Agra etc.
